Osmaniye Doga Schools are in the Cukurova Region and is one of the most mesmerizing areas of the country. It was founded in 2014. As a school, we have a standard of raising internationally aware students. Our school covers infants, primary, secondary and high school education in the city of Osmaniye. Our school has nearly 700 students aged from 10 to 14 who are brilliant and have received awards in maths. Our mission is to raise individuals who acquire knowledge rather than just memorizing their subjects. Who use their knowledge rather than storing it, who are not only successful at examinations but also at interschool culture, art, sports, science events, who have required a high accumulation of knowledge. They are able to think freely and express their ideas explicitly. These students have an international vision and are committed to local values and open to universal ones. They also have acquired a foreign language to the level of conducting scientific studies and will be the leaders of the future. This
year one of the students won the Mathbeg exam and became the leader in the world for maths. We have 234 students and 28 teachers at secondary school. Our school has science and Technology, ICT, Music, Chess, Sports Drama, Foreign languages and Smart Games clubs. The students are very eager to learn foreign languages because they are aware of the importance of it.
We want to involve our students and help them raise their motivation in learning and broadening their minds.
Maths integration into other subjects is the key to competence which we need to improve in our school and this is our motivation to take part in this project. The target is to raise our student's success and awareness with the project activities. With the other school partners, we foster teamwork creativity, success, and awareness building a sense of European identity for all communities. The one reason why you need to attend this project is the parents strong interest in their children's learning, with the desire of parents for more diverse activities for their children. You received this news during the parents meeting at the beginning of the school year. Almost 80% of the parents declared that their main desire is to have more diverse educational activities for their children. 60% of parents wanted to strengthen their children's language skills.
Idil Iris, head of the English Department, Pelin Barutcu an English teacher and Melike Günaydin a maths teacher have brought together a team of eight proactive teachers to work on this project. Our team is sustainable and can successfully work even if a member leaves.
